Robert George
Creating worlds that captivate and encourage imagination for all generations.
Writer’s bio
F or years I have had ideas that I wanted to put down on paper. Worlds and storylines that I wanted to create but, like so many wannabe writers, it all seemed far too impossible with the daily work load always getting in the way. So a chapter here, a chapter there but nothing ever completed. That was until I made a conscious decision to change my lifestyle. To give myself the opportunity to change what I did and how I did it.
Then everything changed. The words flowed, the passion increased and the storyline began to come together.
With self publishing now a possibility for everyone it has allowed me to be as creative as I want without the worry of whether it will be on bookshelves. So if you have ever wanted to try it then I will be the first to say, go for it! I cannot tell you how much satisfaction there is when you complete a book, whether anyone reads it or not.
I am often asked who do I write for?
The answer is simple. I write about whatever idea I have at the time. If it is a childrens novel then so be it. But at the moment I have two childrens and two adults books on the go.
My career has been one big roller coaster ride of trying new ideas, exploring new paths and learning so much about life and people. I also write and direct and this has helped in many ways with the books. I have worked as a journalist, TV and radio presenter, even a toy demonstrator (yes really).
But it always came back to the same thing, writing. It is a place where the worlds I want to create come to life. Where my ideas can be put down for anyone who wants to read.
